Autumn is here, here once again… and in the kitchen, both ingredients and techniques begin to change. Our bodies and souls crave something different. Root vegetables, cabbages, mushrooms, and game take centre stage. Flavours deepen and sauces become richer. We invite you to join us on this autumn adventure.

Welcome bites: sourdough bread, butter, salt, olive oil
Panko-crusted game rillette, dried cranberries, balsamic salad
Grilled gomolya cheese, chestnut honey, caramelised pear
Sautéed chicken liver in Savoy cabbage parcels, jus
Charred cauliflower velouté with bacon crisps
Wild boar neck, wild mushroom risotto, roasted mushrooms, cheese crisp
Floating island, Ambrózia style (in honour of migratory birds)

Our Roots themed menu

The depths of the kitchen garden hide true treasures. Beneath the surface, the rich layers of fertile soil give remarkable depth and an abundance of flavour to the roots and tubers that grow within it. Our Our Roots tasting menu celebrates these hidden treasures beneath the earth, showcasing the beauty and diversity of Hungarian root vegetables and other crops that flourish below the ground.

Welcome Bite: Potato sourdough bread, goose fat, salt, olive oil
Panko-crusted game rillette, carrot and parsnip salad with balsamic vinegar
Beetroot, goat’s cheese, walnuts
Roasted cauliflower, celery root purée
Parsnip cream soup, bacon, croutons, toasted hazelnuts
Rosted goose leg, red cabbage purée, Hasselback potato, roasted leaves, crisps
Beetroot mousse, chocolate, sour cherry

The Greens of Újpest – A Themed Tasting Menu

We use fresh herbs almost every day, yet we rarely give them the attention they deserve. Each one has its own nature and distinctive character.

Thyme is assertive. Chives are introverted. Dill divides opinion. Bay leaf works quietly in the background. Rosemary fills the room. Mint brings a breath of fresh air. And basil always brings a little taste of summer.

At Ambrózia, these wonderful herbs are no longer simply supporting ingredients. In this menu, they take centre stage.

Panko-crusted game rillette, thyme and salad with balsamic dressing
Homemade grilled cheese, chives, honey and walnuts
Butterfish and dill
White beans, bay leaf and Hungarian-style sausage
Duck leg, rosemary, roasted sweet potato purée, pearl onions and potatoes
Apricot mousse, basil, white chocolate and almonds
